Today, guest blogger Emily Cisneros of Coldwell Banker shares some of her past experiences & future excitement for the Grand Haven Salmon Festival!
How long have you been involved in Salmon Festival? Coldwell Banker-Grand Haven has been involved with Salmon festival for 2 years now. We are the major sponsor for the KidZone.
What is your role at the Salmon Festival? Our role in the KidZone is to assist while the children discover the adventures of wildlife, live fish, face painting, rock painting, meet Smoky the Bear and learn about nature. We try to make it a fun and exciting experience.
What has been your favorite part? My favorite part of the salmon festival is the salmon tasting of course!!!! So many talented chefs creating bit size morsels of goodness. The food is outstanding. The beer and wine selection are thoughtfully chosen to pair so nicely with the food. Since its a family friendly event you can come to the KidZone first and then head over to the tasting event.
What’s your most memorable moment? My most memorable moment was watching all the kids gather, waiting in anticipation to get their little faces painted and the line was so long, so we had to do quick an easy fish and sailboats. This year we intend to be more prepared and have more options and volunteers. LOL.
What are you most looking forward to for this year’s event? I’m looking forward to a huge turnout. The nicer the day, the better the turnout. There’s something for everyone at the Salmon Festival – music, grape stomping, eating, drinking, art exhibits and more! I’m looking forward to seeing all the fantastic chefs impress us with their dishes. I love salmon so much and this festival is one of a kind.
